Anybody else experiencing this?
I've been running AVG Free for about a year now but just in the last week or so, every virus update is now saying it needs a reboot in order to install.

:wtf:

Did they change their SOP or is this some kind of incentive to buy their commercial version?

Strange. I have not experienced that. Maybe check to see if they have a new version of AVG Free up? Do an uninstall/reinstall maybe?

Nope, no restarts on any of my systems with AVG. Perhaps it depends on which build you originally have installed.

antivirus software may need to reboot in order to scan or delete viruses from the boot sector. Now if you didnt' tell it to do a bootup scan of the boot sector, then how the hell did you get a boot sector virus?
