Wayne...

I have that light all prepped and ready for a 5 Watt LS. Only difference, Mine is a 4 C cell. Just curious, where did you put the regulator?
Or better asked.... How did you get the switch assembly out? Seems to be press fit.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">No need to remove the switch assembly in this mod. But if you do want to take it out, just remove the rubber switch seal, and the switch will push right out.

I put the tiny regulator between the switch assembly and the heat sink.

LUXEON STAR REGULATED 2 \'C\' ALUMINUM FLASHLIGHT

I have a bunch of these 2 'C' cell aluminum flashlights, made by Oracle. I bought them on a closeout deal. Anyway, I'm doing different things with them. Here one version, where I used a voltage/current step up circuit, and a 1 watt Luxeon Star. I'm using the NX05 optics. This is a real nice, reasonably bright flashlight, using only 2 C cell batteries.

I measure 460 lux at 1 meter. Batteries last about 12 hours.

Ahhhh.
Thanks Wayne.
I got it now...
I can't wait for the 5 watters to arrive.
I will post pics of this mod when it's finished.
I am using a few 1/2C cells to get the proper voltage.
Im hopeing to be able to make this light throw a long tight beam.
