I finished some more LS mods some time ago. This time, the host is arc AAA body, new style (the tappered head), natural HA.

P body means the host is bought as a first, therefore, more expensive.

important notes:

1. Do not look directly into the luxeon when you are turning it on, failure to comply will result in seeing spots

2. the light is a 1W one, using circuit that promises to drive the lux at 350 mA from single cell. As such, it is going to be hot.


I am also open to trade offer. The lights I want are Aleph series (head, body or tail), Mclux PR/PRT, E2/E1 tailcap, HDS perhaps. pm me for offers.

Chimo, the heads start as empty. Then they are machined to accomodate for the big *** inductor and luxeon inside.

I have never tried, but I think the cree UV might be a bit too big to fit in the head.

Nice mods. What`s the approximate run time one one AAA battery?

it drains close to 1 amps from the my NiMh battery, so I would guesstimate at least 30 min continous run time from single AAA nimh 1000 mAH capacity. Actual runtime should be more than that.

Can it use regular AAA batteries?
