Are the new Mag Led 3W replacement bulbs interchangeable from 2,3 or 4cell units? There are specific models/packaging for each but I have seen others like Nite-ize carrying only one model for all capacities from 2 cell to 6 cell.

Is there a difference in brightness or intensity between the Mag Led 2 cell and 4 cell?

Thanks for the inputs.

The new LED's are indeed rated for different numbers of cells. They print it right on the package. As for why Nite-ize only uses one cell, I'm not too sure. Suffice to say, however, that the Nite-ize one is more about runtime than power. Check these out:

And for some bigger pics of the packaging, look at this thread:

Enjoy.

My experience with 3-4 2-cell modules, 5 3-cell modules, and 2 4-cell modules, seems to be that the 3-cell modules are the brightest, followed by the 4-cells, then the 2-cells. Taking into account variations in tint (I've had better luck with the upgrade modules than the assembled lights, but that too is liable to vary and given the number of them being manufacturered, my experience would be of a very limited sample.)
