I still haven't found a good body for a 1W Cyan "alien beam" light I want to make. I definatly want it smaller than a 2D mag so I can pocket it and whip it out to mess with people anywhere I go. So I want it "EDC" sized. (whatever that means)

1) First, What brand light?
I need to fit a LS/MicroPuck/heatsink/NX05 into a small bodied flashlight. Would a AA minimag work? would a brinkmann be easier? If I can't get a brinkmann would a Craftsman AA work? (sideswitch) Anyone mod one of those before? What about something else?

2) How many hours of full bright can I expect from 2AA's and a micropuck?
3) Does the Micropuck keep power constant or does it go down with voltage?

4) Also, if a red LS in a 2D mag Direct Drive will last at least approx 12 hours full bright, what can I expect from a AA version?

Because the micro puck is a lot cheaper. I was originaly going to try and make my own with the cheapest parts I could find but I figure I can sell a flashlight or something & buy the micropuck /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
