DB 917LE works from 3v to 16v. One cell set up would be R123. (2 cell set up will be 2 x CR123 or 2 x R123).

I have tried with 1 x R123 and it works very well. Have not done any runtime as this is new and unused. :grin2:

Looks like it will work like a charm,all mine have worked on single cell setups.
the only bad thing is that when under 3V it will operate DD.Not regulated i believe.

But if you use a R123 you will get plenty runtime and just as bright light.
Just not as good runtime as with 2 R123`s or Cr123`s.
