WHO mfg. the LED in the NEW LED Maglites?

I just bought my minimag LED 2AA flashlight!!! and I LOVE IT!!! i was just curious who makes the LED as the package states "as rated by the supplier of the LED" anyway it is a cool light!!

To my eyes, it sure looks like a Luxeon, even though most other companys proudly display this fact. I think mag doesnt want joe consumer to know what brand it uses, and just asume its made by them.

i highly think that they are luxeon.

but hey, maglite's company may go the cheapest way...

It sure looks like a luxeon to me.. isint luxeon the only mfgr. that makes that style of LED??

there are other companys that make high power leds. Such as Nichia

There may be some Chinese companies who are counterfeiting the Luxeons right down to the point of putting Lumileds name on the product.
