    Does this new Brunton lantern look familiar???

    It looks very much like the Osram, I've just located a retailer in Ontario that carries it (MEC). I'll have to get one to have a look.

    You'd be better served with the Osram Golden Dragon, than the Glorb. . .

    I do notice some differences... So the Brunton version uses a different light source?

    I did have a Golden Dragon, but my wife decided that she wanted that one for her use, so've been trying to get my hands on one fo almost a year now.

    The Brunton has the same body as the Osram, but has 4 5mm LEDS instead of the Golden Dragon.

    The total output and output quality of the Brunton is inferior to the Osram. They are not bad, just a generation behind the Osram.

    Advantage is they can be had 3 for $50 at Brookstone or about $18 apiece elsewhere.
