Hi all - im new here

the reason ive come is because i want to build a small floodlight
first i will mension what i want to light up...

i am looking at lighting an area of around 2 - 5m cube to provide sufficient light for my camcorder to work whilst filming skateboarding at night

the light is only nessacery to see the obstical and for the camera to work well i would need between at least 30mins of good light

so here are some initial ideas - ill put them in preference order

1) 12v halogen diochoric (spelt wrong) indoor bulb mounted on a tripod somehow
then lead into camera bag where there is a 12v sub c cell 3300mah battery pack

2) same as above but using small lead acid battery

3) 12v floodlight for a car a car - batterys as above choices

4) buy a dc floodlight

5) some led type system (this is only last choice because i know nothing about the light leds produce and the cost)

basicly i want the 1st one because its the lightest weight and i have the parts

but im after someone to tell me what will and wont work
as in mabee the sub c pack will run out too quick
or there is some incomparibility

also ive thought about these cheep gazillion candle power torches but are they any good will they cast light out or just light up a small cricle

any help is appriciated and im very sorry for my poor english - im more or a technical guy than a poet

thanks

Alex
