Hi all first time poster...this a great site with brillant folks....my wife bought me a bell bike headlight. It is driven by 4 AA and has a single xenon phillips hpx43 4.8vo59ahk bulb and 2 generic white led lights...the leds work good as flashers but the headlight is weak as expected. Can I upgrade this xenon bulb or do any other mods to this light to make it worth the while.....if not what would be a good flashlight to use for 10-15 mph nighttime riding....thanks all in advance.

Hello kernman and welcome at CPF:)

I does'nt know the light and the bulb, but perhaps a Mag replacement Led could fit. You could buy the 3D-version and use it with 3xAA cells. With a dummy cell or if it's possible, overbridge one cell space with a wire.

A few other ideas you will find in this thread:
