I have myself several Ultrafire lights sitting here, all suffer the same issue:
bad contact in the tailcap, causing the lights to flicker or shine with lower brightness..

First thing i tried, was to screw down the retaining ring in the tailcap; worked for a while, but then the issue was back.

Then i made new solder blobs to the switch pcb; worked for a while...

Finally i bended a piece of 0,5mm wire and soldered it to the pcb..

The lights work fine now, without any flickering.

Nice fix Hiltihome - thanks for the tip and pictures - I just ordered and Ultrafire with a known problem like this so I'll keep your fix in mind.
