Howdy,
I've got rechargeable LiON 17670's for both the surefire L5 & L4 and have been happy with them.
I just picked up a L1T & L2T and was thinking of running it on rechargeable LiON's as well (a single 14500 or 14670+spacer w/L2T body). What kind of runtime would I get with a 3.7v @ ~750ma vs a 2500ma 1.2v NiMH Energizer?
Would it be at least close?
Reasons for needing rechargeable LiON:
1) I use the light for long periods, enough to make std. Lithium batteries too expensive,
2) but the time between uses also can be long enough that NiMH have naturally lost a lot of their charge.
3) LiON's hold up much better in the extreme cold & winter is quickly approaching up here in SD.
