Lexus LS600h: First car to use LED front lights

Until now, there were only prototypes of vehicles having frontal illumination based on LEDs.

This is the first (according to the source of the news) serial produced car to have this kind of lights.

...from reading other articles I googled, it sounds like they all echo what is probably a press release: "...are also the world's first vehicles to be equipped with LED headlights for night-time and low-beam use."

I'm assuming the corner "parking lamp/night-time lamp" is LED-based, as well as the the trio of lights...

I wonder what kind of LED's they're using, and whether or not they get better output/throw compared to incandescents...
