I have a M*g with a modified stock (smooth) reflector running a single UXOJ. It's quite bright, but the beam is full of the typical M*g artifacts (see below). I'm just not satisfied with the "solar flare" smeared looking beam.

Would something like a MOP reflector or a LDF lens help out with this? Your comments can only benefit this inexperienced one. Thanks for any help!

Quick and dirty, if you have an extra stock lense...

Scotch "Satin" tape will tell you if ldf or writeright is right for you. It looks too hokey to actually leave it on a light. Writeright film can be cut from a full sheet in one piece.

That and Writeright is what I used to do before learning about frosting bulbs. On a LED light, generally speaking you can't change reflector so some sort of film is mandatory.

I have diffusing lenses on my three M*gled lights (2,3 and 4 cell drop in) and it helps!
