How to mod the VG FB1 leaf spring?

I seem to recall a long time ago there was a thread that gave step by step instructions on how to mod an old version of the Vital Gear tail (w/ the leaf springs) to a coil spring or something that has a better chance of making contact with different batteries and short bezels. I can't seem to find it.

Anybody know how to do this? TIA.

Here's how to fix the Vital Gear FB1/2/3 switch

There was another post somewhere which used aluminum foil instead too.

Thanks for the reply nekomane, but I'm looking for something a little different.

The link you found is to help when overtightening on the leaves. My problem is that my short bezels make it so that the battery rattles and does not make contact. I need to figure out how to put a spring in so contact can still be made.

I know I've seen someone do that mod, but can't find it.

BTW, I've tried the aluminum foil and all it does it make my light ALWAYS ON.

Surefire KL1 and Vital Gear bodies = no contact. by Lunal_Tic.
There is some info, but probably not exactly what you are looking for.

Thanks for trying, but that's still the 'too much pressure' thing. I need the one where someone replaced the leafs with a spring.
