Hi Joe:
I had something similar and it worked fine. The fan on my unit made quite a racket so I would place it in an extra room and shut the door when I was operating the unit. You'll need to change the carbon filters every so often or the water will start to taste strange. You'll also need to clean out mineral deposits that will build up inside the tank that boils the water... that's kind of a pain in the rear. I still have my unit somewhere but I've replaced it with a reverse osmosis system, just a lot less work than the distiller. The water will taste great, just the same as you get from the expensive water companies - enjoy!
