Questions about swapping the LED in a P1?

Has anyone swapped the LED in a Fenix P1 and if they have what kind of results are they getting? Is it worth it to upgrade the Luxeon with a nice UXOJ, or should I just buy one and stick with whatever emitter I get? Also, just how hard is it to open the head and mod everything? Is there a writeup on how to do it online, or could someone help explain to me how they did it?

David at 4 Sevens is a whiz at modding some of the Fenix models including the P1. I was tols the natural version is easier to mnod than the black version.

Why is that?

Because the natural versions were made first and were supposed to have less epoxy used. The black ones came later and were supposed to be harder to get apart. At least thats what I have read here....
