I have decided to get a Surefire U2. I am trying to save cost by packaging them together. What accessories should I get with it?

Thanks.

I suppose a spares carrier is always useful, an SC1 or SC2 will do.

I would order 1- DSD charger and 2- 17670 batteries (or 18650 batteries if you are getting an older model U2 that will fit the 18650 batteries).

What Flashkat said! Go Li-ion!

You can make your own Lanyards with paracord that are just as good.

If you don't go for rechargeables buy a spares carrier.

If you intend to buy a holster than go ahead, but I find I hardly ever use holsters for my light.

You might want a beamshaper/filter. The Fm-6x for the M2 fits, but are a bit large.

PS! Love my U2, works perfectly;)

If you don't know what accessories you need with it, you probably don't need any :)

Can anybody with the new U2 confirms with me that they can use Li-ion 17670?

Hehe, there are many good suggestions so far. I have not heard of SC1 and SC2 until now. :)

They can indeed. However, the new U2's are not able to accept the beloved 18650.

Here are the runtime graphs for the 17670 (aka Pila 168s).
Almost as good as on primaries.

Great link there thank you very much.

Why on earth would SF do such a thing. When there is a will there is a way. Narrowing the tube won't stopped people using it. More expense for them and more unhappy customers. :dedhorse:

Ok, I have placed an order with OpticHQ. This going to be a painful endurance waiting for the delivery.
