Maglite has been discontinuing the 5 and 6 cell lights.
Is there anyone here who can fill the void by making and offering
3 and/or 4 cell extenders for the C and D cell Maglites?
In some cases, size matters. :help:

For example;
For the longest time, I have wanted an 8c cell mag85.
An 8 D cell version could really be interesting as well.
Anyone want to give it a shot?

Type 2 smooth black annodize is ideal for now.

Paypal ready.

I would be in for a 3D extension to make a 9D Mag85.

I believe the going recipe for a M@g85 is 9 cells.

The ones Fivemega has are too short for this application.

Also, 9 bigger C and D sized nimh batteries may instaflash a WA1185. :mecry:

These bigger batteries usually have more oomph than thier AA counterparts.
9.6-10+ volts should be quite easy for just 8 of these bigger batteries to couph up, even with such a strong bulb as the 1185.

Now, something like an Osram 130+ watt bulb my be another ballgame. :naughty:

Ahh. True. I'll be using 9 1/2Ds or Ds with my Mag85 but I'll also be using AWs Hotdriver.
I've also got a few plans for 12 Ds and an Osram bulb. BUT. I just finished my 6x1/2Ds in 4D Mag ROP. Very nice. Now on to a Mag275 or similar. One must crawl before one walks.

Those are already gone. :sigh:

There are still a few shorter ones, but not the bigger ones that I would like to have.
Looks like other people liked those too. :naughty:

This is the proof that longer extension tubes had a market, even before the stock 6 cell Maglites sold out and became hard to find.

I didn't have any trouble finding a 6D mag. I just received it today from
action-lights.com. Am I missing something?

LOL!
They must have had a good stock on those.

It's mainly the 5 and 6 cell c cell lights that are gone.
However, my local Fry's Electronics also just ran out of 6D lights.

Even those who have the 6D lights could always still use the extra 3 cells to push a good 12 volt lamp with in a KIU, or Fivemega socket. :)

I'm pretty sure Amazon.com has some too (and pretty decent prices).
