Do I need an F04 diffuser for my A2?

Hey everybody :)

I'm looking for your recommendations/experiences.

I'm going to be picking up a Surefire A2 flashlight. Do you all think I should pick up an F04 diffuser for it too, or is the F04 unnecessary for the A2?

I'll be using the LED light for close up work (reading map in car, navigating inside house, etc.), and the incandescent bulb for "spotting" in the distance (outdoors).

Thanks

One great thing about the A2 that is seldom mentioned
is the floody low beam and the more focused spot of the icnan.
No need for a diffuser!

Hi,

I had no problem of puting the F04 on my SureFire A2, but I removed the diffuser lens! I put the F04 on just to protect the bezel if dropped.

theres no need for the F04 as the low level leds are already a flood beam. you could use it for the inacn i guess if you wanted a bright incan flood beam.
