Well i know over the past 3 months here ive learnt of alot on Torches thanks to CPF now i want in on Rechargable options for my new torch

I have an M3 and a KL6 head for my M3 body that i want rechargables.

well be using the Mn11 lamp (225)
M3T Mn16 lamp (225)
+A-19 tube M4 setup up/either 225 or 350 lumen

I dont know didley squat about figures volatages or batteries etc except what ive read

I ve read i can safely use 17500 on M3- mn11, & M3T- mn16

Ive read Quote
"17500s have a nominal capacity of 1100mAH. Lithium-ion cells are good for a discharge rate of up to 2C, or 1100mAH x 2, = 2.2 amps, which is precisely the current of all of these lamps.

One should NEVER exceed 3C on a conventional lithium ion cell, ie. 3.3 amps for a 1100mAH cell. Once you start approaching 3C, performance drops sharply as the cells cannot handle the high drain and their voltage starts falling, so it is a far from ideal situation anyway. But 2C is good, they perform reasonably well at that discharge rate. The ROP mod using high output bulb drives 18650s (2200mAH and above) at slightly over 4amps, nearly 2C."

"Yes - 2 x 17500's at 1100mah capacity.
If the lamps are pulling 2.2a then that should equate to 30 mins runtime
I've heard that the M3 HOLA pulls upto 2.5a - so that would give around 25 to 26 mins - but I'd be topping up after 20 mins.

If you notice a perceptible dimming in output then re-charge.

BTW - I've found that the HOLA's run brighter with 2 x 17500's than with 3 primaries as they hold their voltage better under load.

SO Folks

What does the above statements of figures in qoutes all mean , as i would like to know and be educated

Plus the 17500 batts whats there lifecycle, how many recharges b4 hey are rended useless

So is the 17500 the only choice of batts rechargeable i have to get for my intended set up

Thank you Fuzzy
