Just received the Wolf-Eye's 6px sniper and 3.7v luxeon lamp today from Mike@pts. This little setup is awesome, the beam has almost zero artifacts it has good throw and spill but best of all it gives great run times! The close up beamshot is of a SL propoly luxeon and the WE's setup note that I had just installed a fresh set of NiMH 2500's in the PP and the WE's setup had been on for almost three hours straight!

Not sure yet of the total runtime but once I get the cell drained I'll post the results. I didn't have any more time for beamshots however I will try to get some pics up before too long, with a fresh cell the WE's has better throw and overall output when compared to the SL propoly!

This is a must have! :naughty:

Here's a comparison shot of the surefire G2 running a (G&P 3w) and the WE's setup, the G2 has a fresh set of primaries & the WE's has a fresh 18650! They were aprox. 12" from the wall.

Looks to be a winning combo you have there.

Are you using the DSD charger for that 18650 cell?

Is there any way to attach a lanyard to the Wolf-Eyes 6PX by chance?

Thanks.

I am using a DSD charger, purchased it from AW!

I really don't see any way to attach a lanyard.

Do you think the wolf-eyes is regulated, or a function of the li-ion? Now we need a hero like chevrofreak to do a runtime test to see how it compares to other drop-ins and the Huntlight FT-01. I really should donate a little to him for batteries.

Well I ran it for over two hours and it really didn't seem to dim much @ all!

Ran a quick test to see if the 6PX is really waterproof & well it is 100% leakproof! I placed the 6PX in aprox. four inches of water for aprox. 30 minutes and after I disassembled it there were no signs of leakage!

Nice pictures Buz.

Maybe you can clear something up for me. What's the difference between the 6PX and the 6AX other than that the 6PX is advertised as waterproof?
Does the 6PX have a "tactical" (non-clicky) tailswitch?
Do you know whether it's HA or type II & is the window glass?

I believe that the 6PX has a nonremovable, nonreplaceable tailcap. To change the battery, you must unscrew the head.

LOL yeah I learned the hard way about the tail cap not coming off! I'm sitting there next to my wife turning red in the face while trying to remove the tail cap :ohgeez:stupid me the thing doesn't come off!

Not much other than the tail cap is non removable.

You'd have to ask Mike@PTS about that!

Will try and post some this weekend! Not sure if you own a SL propoly LUX but the throw is similar (the size on the other hand thats a different story)!

Ah, is it still "press for momentary, click for on" though - or momentary only?
Thanks for the info guys.

Look what flashlight reviews is saying about this lamp!

The Wolf Eyes 6M rechargeable with the Wolf Eyes 3.7V LED module has the best regulation I think I've ever seen, with only a 0.4% variance for over 3 hours - yes, that's right - 0.4%. It starts at 100% and wavers betwen 99.6% and 100% during the entire regulated segment. Amazing.

The pics above show a rather wide spillbeam, and rather bright as well.
However, Quickbeam's review on FlashlightReviews shows a rather small hotspot, some corona, and almost no spillbeam.....
Where is the truth? (We all know the truth is out there, :) )
Seriously how is the beam like? Perhaps compared to the beam of a Fenix L1P...

I really like it, the WE's lamp produces very good output, good size hotspot and very useful spill! I say's it all around brighter than the L2T! Check the first post I've added some more pics!

BTW the runtime is awesome!

Yes the runtime is great indeed :)
Could you tell me what is the diameter of the lens? I've thought of replacing the front lens with a diffusing lens. Do you think it could work?

I'll try and get a measurement for you, I'm pretty sure the glass can be removed.
