One caveat with these things: there isn't a good thermal path from the LED to the body of the light. The module has an air gap (poor conductor) to the reflector body and interfaces to anodizing (again, poor conductor). It's a short-run light, especially if biased at 1000mA. Probably good for 30 second burst. Anything much longer and the LED will cook itself to death. By way of reference, a KL6 biased at 1000mA will diminish in output noticeably if run for more than a few minutes and a KL6 has pretty good heatsinking. The output of any LED decreases as you elevate the die temperature.
