Better throw than Luxeon in Mag

Hi.
I`m looking for flashlight mod receipe for maximum throw with Luxeon 3, 5 or K2 led, powered from 18650 or AA pack, D size battery will be ok also. I got already DD 3d mag with TW0K. I need more...
What can you suggest? What host, reflector etc? Not pricey

Hello Mike

You could change your TW0K to a U--K, build a Trilux with 3xMcR20 reflectors and U-bin's in a Mag host or 3xMcR 27 in a Turbo-head.

Sounds like you have the best combination for throw from an LED already. You may already be driving the Lux III to K2 llimits anyway and a Lux V puts out more total light but doesn't throw as far. A hotwire mod would be the next step up in throw.
