Question for all of you CPF'ers that own the fenix P1... How hot does it get when used for extended periods of time. If you need the full 2.5 hours, is it ok to keep it on for the max runtime w/o any external cooling?

I've used the P1 thru a full continues run on a new Energizer lithium without any problems.

It gets warm but not too hot to touch if u have been holding it in your hand, but if u leave it on a table or something then it gets pretty hot but still not burning hot.
Btw the daytime temp around here is about 35°C.

Top Secret! So secret even I don't know where I am
I've generated quite a few runtime graphs (without additional cooling) using the P1, and I have not noticed any problem with the P1. At least, there does not appear to be any short term problem running the P1 for 2 ~ 2.5 hours at a time.

P1 was clamped using a small vice for the runtime tests, and the light did not appear to get too warm or hot.

Long term effect (if any) is unknown at this time.
