I noticed this too. Haven't really used mine enough to get a feel for its performance. Still pretty darn good to make it 11 hours to 50%.

I also noticed the discrepancy.

Would really like to know the reason.

FLR lists battery as Ray-O-Vac. Significant ?

I noticed this difference and laughed when I saw that there was already a thread dedicated to it! We at CPF are on our toes.

I think chevrofreak had some problems with runtime of L1T because there was lube on contacts. After cleaning it, everything was as expected. Maybe the same problem?

I was actually thinking the same thing about how his EO graph is quite different than all the others that were done. It could be his battery of the contacts. I would guess the battery. Maybe he could re do the graph with a brand new Duracell.

Judging by the graph right above your post, I'd say yes. It's very similar to the runtime Quickbeam measured.

the graph in post 6 is nothing like Quickbeam review.

unless you talking about the Raovac heavyduty line which is regulated for over 2 hours, but only lasts for around four and a half hours.

but Quickbeam must have used a alkaline battery in his runtime not a zinc choride.

so his results are still very strange.

regards.

Yes, I do mean that. Quickbeam uses Rayovac alkalines in many of his reviews.

I use Rayovacs frequently, but always Alkaline. I'll re-do the runtime today. Bad cell, perhaps. I'll clean the contacts on the light as well.

I've had good experience with Rayovac Alkalines.

I was amazed at the runtime graph showing 2.5 hours in regulation on Zinc Chloride batteries. I wonder if rayovac mislabeled a batch of heavy duty batts as alkaline.

I too have typically had good luck with Rayovac alkalines.

The total runtime for the HD cells was quite a bit less than the alkalines. I doubt they were mislabeled. My guess would be that the cell just wasnt full capacity.

Thanks Doug,

Very quick response to the questions here. Proves the value of your site once more.
I too was a bit disappointed to see your initial graph, but could live with it. Now I value my E0 even more. I've really come to like it in all respects. Has replaced my Arc-P for everyday use, which I didn't expect when it arrived. Arc is now on a lanyard around my neck, for any emergency/backup duty. Must get some Lithium AAA's for it.
