Virtual PC Is Now Free!
Whether Microsoft virtualization technology is an important component of your existing infrastructure or you're just a Virtual PC enthusiast, you can now download Virtual PC 2004 absolutely free. Microsoft will also offer the free download of Virtual PC 2007, with support for Windows Vista, available in 2007.

Been free for a while I've been using it to test Vista. I guess in VPC2007 Vista can be a host. I can't wait till VPC2007 comes out so then I can finally use the virtualization features in my desktop and laptop. Probably will be using XP-64 and not Vista since it's a hog.

You are so right about that.

I only discovered vmware server a few weeks ago after using vpc for a long time. I could kick myself now for not doing proper research when i first needed virtualization; would have saved me lots of time...
