Ok last year I started a thread with the same theme. So here we are again. Lets' hear your ideas, suggestions, and fantasies for Surefires' 2007 product line. What would you like to see? I'll go first...

Black HA everything!
3-cell Nitrolon P90/91 light. (G3?)
More LuxeonIII lights (or K2)

Lets' hear it!

After we get some good replies, I'll shoot off an email to Surefire about the thread, like last year.

So lets keep it respectful as well as creative!

Seconded on more LuxIII / K2 lights! Although, really, some Cree XR-E lights would kick even more prodigious behind...

A lower output/longer runtime lamp for the 6P. Say 30 lumens for 2 hours.

Holsters that will accomodate KL1 and KL3 heads.

A better E2D holster.

A tube battery/LA holder that will hold 2 CR123s and a MN0x lamp with a belt attachment.

1) KL1 with a reflector and a flupic like interface. Remember you heard it here first. :naughty:

2) A KL5/U2 size light with a Lux X.

How about some responses to competitor's products?

1.) Assuming the output numbers aren't ridiculously inflated, The H1 Helios beats the Beast & Hellfire lights easily. Comparing the prices I've seen, the Helios is 1/3 the price of the Beast and 1/4 the price of the Hellfire. Plus the design of the Helios is dead sexy. I mean if the Surefire HIDs were as bright or brighter than the Helios that's one thing. But when the Helios looks good, has better output and is much cheaper, No Contest!

2.) Lights using multiple LEDs would be nice (As in something along the lines of the WiseLED). True the WiseLED still needs lots more testing, but even in these early stages it appears that its easily brighter than 99% of all the other LED flashlights offered for sale today. Heck, one of our forum members that reviewed it said that the tailcap LEDs of the WiseLED are almost as bright as the U2 on high!

3.) A headlamp would be a great idea. I've seen the Surefire helmet light on OpticsHQ & in the catalogue, but a dedicated headlamp would be a useful addition to the Surefire line-up.

Dear PK,

I would like a small hand held HID for 2007.

Thank You,

KDOG, right there with ya on the Black HA, especially the M6.

Another idea I would like to see would be an M6 sized light, but with multi-level brightness, with the best 5w LED available, and a Li-Ion battery pack, in black HA of course. It would last forever on a single charge with that much battery capacity.

Also, a much smaller single CR123A light with a 3w LED and two levels, say 10 lumens and 60 lumens similar to the Peirce M10 in size, but adjustable without opening the light.

Thats all for now. I'll keep dreaming.:)

Oh man! I'd like:
-An L1 with a reflector or less "aggressive" TIR optic and perhabs a bit more power vs. runtime. That goes for the KL1 too. As much as I like both these lights, a bit of spill beam would be nice!
-A two stage tailcap for the E1L, E2L and L4.

A "v" binned k2 light in a 18650 form factor with a reflector that is stippled and smooth. I know that their's a flashlight from waion that has a reflector like this.

1) A slightly shorter L1 with a brighter high, same low, same beam, but more round if possible. I'll keep using the F04 when I need flood.

2) Improved A2 with smaller LEDs and more power/throw (deeper reflector?) from the incan (~80 lum?) and different color LED rings available and easily swappable. Also, to steal another poster's idea: a lower lumen incan bulb available, like 30-40L.

3) Ability to use LI-Ions in everything.

4) Small 1AA version of the L1 with a single 3mm red LED seperately operable.

5) Broader spectrum LEDs.

6) Strobe function in the L series.

Here is my 2007 SureFire wish.

I would love to have a Lanyard attachment, made like the V60, that would work on the SureFire Kroma Flashlight.

If that would be a possibility that would truly bring a smile to my face.

Things I want to see from Surefire:

18650 tubes and LE compatibility for the 18650s. This applies to practically all future designs for all models.

USA made Porcupine models and all the short run models (like PKEF) sold to the USA dealers. Of course that means you need to make more Porcupine models. I really like my L2 v2, L6, and U2 v2 models, so keeping that theme would be great as well.

A multi LED Triple clover Turbo-ish head... Imagine three L6 heads kind of molded together. This light will use the U2 rotary switch for dimming as well. It would run on 3x18650 side by side, matching the tripple clover head.
Here's some inspiration:

Ti Pocket Rocket ! ! ! Or maybe a Ti Pocket Rocket Defender model.

Please 'Santa' PK, deliver these to the flashaholic masses.

They built a minibeast HID, its cost is around $4000.

I'd look into other manufacturers if I were you :naughty:

3p w Led and tailstand option. G2 w Led option and clickie. Ha 3 option on every
light. Some single AA or single AAA options. Better Qc for the U2. Maybe limited
edition SS or Ti on some models. Different LED choices for A2 either brighter or
dimmer like Peak. More access to military style lights. Don't get me wrong guy's, your
doing well just some suggestions! Thanks! Edit: HA3 black option on every
light!
