We should take a vote on the official candlepowerforums flashlight, then with enough people wanting to order one, we could get the flashlight custom with a logo on it. I think companies like mag lite, surefire, and pelican would do this with enough orders for a reasonable price.

I think it should be the AAA Arc for it`s practical use, high quality and more affordable price. Well, and for the sake of a good argument.

The arc-LS loooks like such a great light (not long now...thanks Brock
smile.gif
) but cos it`s a pricey little light too, I`ll add my vote to the Arc-AAA. Perhaps a custom special in Candlepower Forums Blue hard-anodised finish with "Candlepower Forums Member no.(insert member no. here)" etched round the neck?

Might not be cheap, especially with the premium Nichia S-rank LED in the purest whitest colour tint they make

, but just think how collectible it`s going to be in the future!

Oh there I go again.....daydreaming!

Seeing as how CPF members were so involved in the feedback for its design, I'd have to say the Arc-AAA should be (already is kind of) the official flashlight.

May actually have to have an official LED flashlight AND an official filament Flashlight.

I wanted a light-up flashing badge originally, but a Photon would be small enough to wear like that, and they can be produced with a stick-on logo thingy.

But if a special edition ARC AAA was produced, could it incorporate a pen-clip, even if only a Mag-Lite 2AAA type, so that it would be an everyday easy-carry torch ? Gransee ??

And of course, in Silver, to save on anodising costs ...... But Chris's blue HA sounds good, unusual.

One important thing, whatever the item chosen, the "standard" lights seem to be the Photon and the E2 or Mag-Lite 3D. So p-p-please let's have *whatever* as an everyday carry light, with an output that can be used as a reference point.

And a white, even beam.

Ok, I'll cow to the majority, but only because it was us who helped design the Arc-AAA to begin with. It is (or should be) the Candlepower Forums official mascot.

How abt a pen with an led on the top??
using AAA or LR44?
might be a little more usefully since there is a pen.

there isn't a problem for a guy to carry a pen rite??

I'll second this, in whatever color (hard-anodised, please), even without the actual member number etched. That amount of customization might be too difficult, or too expensive (although seeing "Member # 116" emblazoned on this light would be really gratifying to my ego).

Member numbers - now that's a neat idea.
A flashlight you would never want to lose though... might be hard to get a #11 again.

Well if the consensus is for a version of the Arc-AAA, I am happy to help in any way I can.

To keep things simple and the cost down, I would prefer that you choose one case and LED color for the CPF version. This might start some debate though and some might be unhappy with the choice of the majority.

We can laser inscribe member numbers on the finish and there is room for about 30 characters. For example, it could say, "CPF edition, member ###".

I don't recomend redesigning the whole light- this tends to get expensive.

Count me in for a CPF ArcAAA. I would prefer a white LED, but would buy one whatever the LED color. How can you go wrong with a CPF Arc flashlight?!?

I would also go far an Arc with the CPF member #'s on them
smile.gif
I would also suggest the LE version or at least anodized and the S ranked LED's, preferably in white.
