incredimail not checking for new mail.

since i upgraded to the latest version last week, my incredimail wont check for new mail by itself.

I usualy have it set to check every 3 mins.

I tried the incredimail auto-repair, no-good.

I have tried reinstalling it. no-good.

I can manually click on the incredimail icon to check for mail.

but the auto check will not work.

any help would be appriciated.

I installed the oldest version of incredimail i could find.

but it still wont auto check for emails.

what am i doing wrong.

My wife was a big fan of Incredi-mail. I called it BUGmail. It was only a matter of time before she got tired of the constant errors, etc. She's moved onto Outlook.

Have you tried deleting the account and re-adding it?

Failing that install Mozilla Thunderbird and change your life.

Incredimail actually contains spyware I forgot to add.

One of my clients tried that junk. He had me over soon enough removing it all.

Solution: Uninstall Incredimail.

the funny thing is it worked great for months, and then it was intermittent for a few weeks and now nothing.

is their anything similar that automatically checks for new emails.

Mozilla Thunderbird.

I have 4 email accounts and get Thunderbird to check them every 3 mins.

OK I installed Mozilla Thunderbird.

I can`t see a icon on the task-bar should their be one, if i want it to check for mail every 3 mins.

There should be an option to chage how often e-mail is fetched under the Tools|Options menu.

Out of curiosity, why check for e-mail so often?

If you want to be able to put it in the system tray you will need to install this extention.
http://minimizetotray.mozdev.org/

The option to check for mail every X amount of minutes is under
Tools > Account Settings...
