When I found this board in Feb 2001, it was a real surprise. Other people who liked talking torches !!
Ummm, I mean, talking about torches*.
I guess that way back then, most of the early members were real HardCore, if they'd found CPF.
Seems that a total of ~12 "Todays Active Topics" was about the usual. You could see all of them on the screen without scrolling down.
Today - for the first time ever - "Todays Active Topics" goes on TWO pages.
It was easy to read every single post, in those far off days. Now, I have to set aside plenty time to keep up ......

*But then, the first talkin' torch can't be more than a few microprocessor generations away. Maybe torches with attitude -
"Hey, dude - you haven't yet loaded those new fuel cells you promised me ! What gives ? And you haven't re-seated my lamp assembly properly since you dropped me a WEEK ago ! Sheesh !! Plus, next door's KID has one of the new force-field generated 'Perfecto-FocuserTM' reflector bezels. Do you care about me OR WHAT ? "
