best quick/cheap upgrade for 2aa mag?

i bought a $5 upgrade kit at walmart and was super disappointed in the build quality and how it didnt even seem to fit well. the output was decent

i dont need anything fancy, this is a work light that gets beat up and could be lost and replaced any day

The SMJLED is a great performer in the 2AA minimag (especially on L91 lithiums). Lambda and TrueBlue used to sell them here for around $5-6, but I don't know if they still do. The Sandwich Shoppe probably carries them for a few dollars more. Lambda's site will give you instructions for drilling the reflector to fit.

+1 on the SMJLED kit. All you have to do is drill out the hole in the stock reflector to a larger size (1/4" I believe), and cut the leads on the LED the correct length. Order a nice Kroll tail switch from Sandwich Shoppe while you're there also.
