4sevens said:Hi Viren,
I have lots of emails from confused folk who think V1D is an actual product.
Would you mind making it clear that this is not an actual product, but
rather your fantasy? (for now) This would really help me.
I get over 100 emails a day that I try to provide individual attention and
the last thing I need is more emails Know what I mean?
Thanks for your consideration.
BTW, I'm very sure that Fenix actively reads all the suggestions (as indicated
by their track record). And everything someone asks me to forward
suggestions to Fenix, I always do. Don't think their silence means
they are not listening. It just probably means they are busy doing
R&D. I don't have any news on upcoming products. Please don't email
or PM me asking. Thanks
Sorry 4SevenS for the trouble caused.
As requested, I would like to clarify this again. I have updated the first post. Hope people read this and do not email /PM you.
Dear Fellow CPFER's and Fenix Lovers:
Clarification: I do not have any direct contact with Fenix. It's an experiment to see if Fenix Does in deed listen to CPFer's need. I believe, if the numbers are high for interest, Fenix might consider really building on this one. Please view the above quote. ALSO, PLEASE NOTE THAT V1D is an NOT actual product. I request you NOT to email / PM 4SevenS.
Revisiting This interest thread for the....
Civictor V1D Special Edition (Digitally regulated, non PWM)
Features:
- Spiced up Fenix E1 Circuit (Solid regulation)
- Electronically Switchable Brightness (Low, Med, High, in this sequence, unlike Fenix L0P SE)
- Light Orange Peel (LOP) Reflector *New*
- Solid Brass +ve Contact (no worries of wear of contact PCB)
- New Cree XR-E (85 Lumens @ 350 mA) (P4 bin)
- HA III Anodized
- UCL 2 sided AR Coated lens/window
- $$$ Around $40 - $50 being very practical here... and...if it's cheaper.. it would be dream come true...
- Based on current 1AA E1 Runtime graphs, estimated runtimes would be around 3.5 Hrs at Max (with Lithium) Fully Regulated...perhaps and around 70 lumens(P4 bin) realistically speaking... and sure 2 hours for 70 Lumens on high capacity NiMH... imagine the power of AA Cell
And NO, I do not have any direct contact with Fenix. It's an experiment to see if Fenix Does in deed listen to CPFer's need. I believe, if the numbers are high for interest, Fenix might consider really building on this one. PLEASE NOTE THAT V1D is an NOT actual product. I request you NOT to email / PM 4SevenS.
