I didn't pick the newspaper off my driveway until just a few minutes ago. This apparently happened Wednesday. If it really is what the news report said; :eeew:

How often does "blue ice" happen anyway ? I'm a bit concerned myself as well since there's an approach for LAX directly above my house.

I can confirm that, while rarely reported, this actually occurs.
I cannot answer "how often" this occurs.
