I didn't know this, but I read Mini Mag LED lights have zero reverse polarity protection, I did have the batteries in backwards for a couple seconds, it seems okay but I do't know if it could affect the performance of the LED, as far as the Luxeon lottery, my beam is a white/greensih tint.

I tested both the 2 and 3AA Minimag LED with all the batteries installed backward and neither have failed. Certainly not a habit to get into, but the circuit itself is protected.
