Sold/Expired FS: Piglet Converter Board (Gone!)

Forsale are 3 (1 solde) All new PIGLET converter boards utilizing the Flupic system but gives fully buck/boost regulation. This differs from the Flupic in that it has two FIXED current levels (three with li-ion batt). The configuration on these three boards are 150ma and 500ma for low and high. If a li-ion battery is used, higher currents can be achieved and burst = 650ma total. Regular lithium will only put out around 500ma even in burst mode.

Because these are still in testing, I only have three completed for testing in real world usage. Size of the board is 0.55" and special attention is required to avoid the Led + and Led - on the back of the board near the outter edges.

Cost is $15 for these three boards only. This is almost at cost for parts and labour. Please PM to arrange payment. Thanks!

are you looking at making these that could fit in a ARC AAA (such as the chimo flupic modified ARC AAA).

Been waiting for these for months, and I end up missing out!?!?!?!?

That'll teach me to have a life outside of CPF.

Oh well, at least there should be more in the future.

I missed it too. That's ok, the initial boards should go to someone who has the time to try them out immediately.

diggdug13, I suspect it will be hard to make one small enough to fit in an Arc-AAA head, like the mini-FLuPIC.

I'm more curious if they are small enough to fit in a JIL-CR2 DD (JCR2-LR) head or if they will need the greater space available in the JIL-CR2 1.3W (JCR2-HI) head. Perhaps these will eventually lead to a whole new JIL model. I will be watching for developments.

These will never go into the arc-aaa because 0.55" is sooooooo small for both flupic system and boost converter, there will be no way I can put it in an even smaller form factor. I'm already doing 3-d soldering with this board so those that get it will know what I mean. Cheers!

I hope warren is following because this COULD lead to a whole new JIL model. It would need to be slightly longer than the IT but less than the HI.

NOTICE: For those that received the few boards, please only use mode 1 for testing because all of the other modes are broken. Meaning, beacon, strobe might not work too well. A fix is under way and in the future, you may send back the board for re-programming. Thanks!
