New use for my hercules in the lab revealed

I was working in my lab a few weeks ago, when I realized that I had another use for the hercules-400. I remembered that I could run it off an external circut! My lab had been in the market for a green laser at about this power to pump a TI:saphire laser with a power of 120mW. The big lasers were a bit costly... I realized that I could pulse this laser 200 times a second and so we tried it out. We turned it on and let it stabilize for about fifteen minutes. At the point at which I only had a variation of about 5mW, I simply put it behind my TI:saphire and lo and behold: 112mW of infrared energy. This energy was exeptionally useful, we were able to penetrate about 200nm of brain tissue.
