Can anyone tell me if running a WXOT on 2 18650 protected Li-ions without any resistor will quickly fry the emitter? Currently I have a VV1T in a Space needle and it seems to be holding up although i haven't run it for more than 7 minutes continuous.
If I DO have to put one in (which I would rather not) can you tell me what the value should be for MAX performance.
thanks.
I would rather not use a regulator cause I'm spending all the money on the emitter.

AFAIK it will die! Unless very well heatsinked it will die very fast as well.

Somebody else will have to chime in with resistor values for you.

Good luck on your project:)

I burn my WWOT on 2 18650 protected Li-ions without any resistor.
Now I'm runing an WWOT with an downboy 997, work great. An downboy 997 is cheaper than another WWOT. :grin2:
