I really like my L1 with the stock optics but I wouldn't mind it being a tad brighter and as white as possible. If I put the highest possible bin LuxIII in there, would I notice a difference? Still being driven at stock levels mind you. Am I correct in my thinking that the higher bin an emitter is, the brighter it will be at a given current/voltage setting? I'm planning to go to Photon Fest 7 (milkyspits house) and I am thinking of getting emitters for my U2, L1 and BOG 3W drop in and taking them up there and see if I can't get him to swap'em out for me. Waddya think?

I thought the whole point of the L1 is to have a decently bright 1 cell light with very good run time. Wouldn't you essentially have a 2 stage E1L after modding the L1 with a brighter emitter? I suppose the L1 could be a tad brigther in low mode. For a single cell light its hard to beat the output that the L1 puts out in high mode. After all its nearly twice as bright as the E1e while running for longer as well.
