It would be the temporary solution to my "always gets scratched to hell" maglight windows, (not a supporter of maglight btw), it's pretty neat stuff:rock:

What about the out takes when some poor SOB get's that pen in their eye.

I wonder what the transparency is like plus heat resistance?

I use ShieldZone protectors on ALL my stuff.

it really is that strong too !!!
I have it mainly on my camer and GPS screens.
They have taken a beating and look fine.
The protectors dont even scratch easy from dirt, rocks, etc.
Definately worth every penny !!!

I am not sure how clear they are, for flashlight use though.
You know us, wouldnt want to suck up a couple lumens

I myself regret finding out about this stuff AFTER I bought my Ipod. No worries though, it was stolen so Im getting another and this time itll have a shield on it.
I dont think using these on flashlight lens is really a cost effective idea. Much cheaper to just get a UCL which is guaranteed more transparency anyway.

I believe the installing technique is to apply soapy water on the side that will go onto the surface, and simply push on and wait.

Looks like a good idea. I'd prefer new items having the stuff already added as I don't think I could free-hand cut anything decent looking.

Looks pretty tough but can anyone think of a "Craig Johnson" style test that they don't show on video ?

Some of my ideas;

Dropped from 5 feet high onto asphalt
Dragged behind a vehicle
Belt sander with 60 grit
Dropped in snow then run over by a snowboarder/skier
The saw blade on my Leatherman Charge Ti
Diamond
