Super Minimini mag

I won this light from Uriah here on CPF.(Thanks Uriah)

I initially tried to mod it with a K2 LED using the one 14270 to power it. While it was bright it only took about 30 seconds or so before the little lithium wasn't able to keep up with the demand the k2 wanted and started to flicker. I scrapped that idea and went with a SMjled and now it is much better.

Fenix L2p VS Super minimini

Exposure=1/5 of a sec. Aperture=F2.8 Compensation -0.7
Not to bad for a .5 watt light this small. The tint is not as blue as the picture makes it out to be, the L2p is a really warm tint.

Doesn't that really overdrive the SMJLED? And wouldn't that shorten the lifespan significantly?

Yes it does overdrive it just a little. However, with the cheap price of the SMjled I can afford to live dangerously with this LED.

I have done "many" mini mag mods using the super MJ's with excellent results. Never fried one as of yet.
