If you burn out a luxeon...say with 13 volts with no resistor....should there be some sign of that..like blackness in the LED or something?
I was playing with a luxeon I havent used in a while, hooked up to a 12v sealed lead acid battery with a 27 ohm 5 watt resistor soldered onto the luxeon. It was running fine at a perfect current & voltage and I ran it for a while, on and off. Then after I came back to it like an hour later and tried it, it didnt light. All the connections are fine...i flicked it a couple times...nothing. The LED itself looks fine. I dont understand why it just stopped working.
