SF A2 LED replacement

Having never actually seen an A2 in person, I am wondering how difficult it would be to replace the LEDs in order to change colors. Are the LEDs part of a drop-in module, or would it require major surgery (i.e. soldering) to swap them out? If it is a module, any idea of the cost? Thanks for the input.

SF does not offer replacement LED rings for sale, so you only get the one your A2 comes with. Swapping the LEDs or surface resistors does require some careful soldering skills. I believe Milkyspit will do this mod for you for a fee. Here's a pic of the LED ring:

er.. All i did was take out the LED ring as you see in the pic and put a new one in from a different A2. The only tool needed was a mini screw-driver. The problem is the LED rings are not sold seperately from the flashlight, you'd have to buy it on B/S/T.
