Just for giggles. Same output as an RCR123, maybe half the runtime. But the chicks dig it, so who am I to say no?

Ok, I know it looks like any other A19, but there really is a Cree in there. :)

Now you say it's just for laughs, but the low power consumption of the Cree lets you run it at spec with equal outputs and runtime to a RCR123/Luxeon III setup.

And that has to be good for everyone.

(Can you please tell me where the torch-digging chicks are? Please? Please?)

Speed - it is the GD825.

I've tried the LE in Aleph2 and Aleph3 heads. Not optimal, but plenty functional. You get a serious donut hole, and lots of artifacts. But my A19 is somewhat artifacty too. Maybe the LE can be adjusted in/out to smooth it out. But when you crank out the LE in the A19, the reflector rattles, and that won't work for Powernoodle.

I just got mine today and this thing really kick ***!

I tried with 22 ohm chopped tail and just like wayne said I guess the GD825 doesn't like resistored but I heard the 5 ohm will work.
Hopefully the 2 stages he has backordered will come true ...

I like your setup as well powernoodle! And soon this will be 2 stages ... :naughty:
