So far they are the ONLY e series body that are available that I can afford. I need to ask some questions thought. Can I use 1 CR123 with it if I can get a spacer? I see some 15mm spacers at lighthound, will they work if I put electrical tape around the outside to isolate it from the body? The 1.5x123 Aleph body is only available in black so it won't even match my KL1 head and Z57 tailcap. Can anyone tell me about the 17500 rechargeable battery? Worth buying?

yes, you can use it with a spacer

the 17500 from AW is a great cell! I use 2x17500 to drive a G&P G90 in a SF D3. I use the DSD charger, and have never had a problem. others say the DSD wont fully charge cells, but I have no way of testing them. I get a nice white beam with about 45 minutes of protected runtime.

Well, the Aleph 1.5x123 body is on the way....got the 15mm spacer on the way from lighthound. Next payday I'll pick up the 17500 and charger. What kind of runtimes/output can I expect from that? The KL1 on 1 cell is rated at 25 lumens and is rated at 30 lumens on 2 cells. Will it go into 1 or 2 cell mode with the 17500?

The 17500 will put the KL1 in the 2 cell mode. KL1 works more efficently using the buck part of the buck/boost driver. Later you can add legos and use more LiIon's up to 9 volts, and maybe higher. CM would know the answer to the high end voltage of KL1.

I wonder which spacer is better for charging and which is better for running? I got a brass spacer and aluminum spacer from lighthound but I'm not sure which will be better for what.
