Anyone on here know anything about the Mac Powerbook 140 laptop?
I "inherited" one of these yesterday, and it works except that the top half of the screen has these moving moire type patterns going on.
Could it just be a bad TTL chip that could be easily replaced, or should I just sh**can the whole thing and squash my dream about ever owning a laptop? (This is my first laptop, BTW).
A lot of the file dates on it are as recent as 1999, and there is evidence of internet connectivity having been added. It has a phone jack on the back, indicative of a modem of some kind hiding inside there. Thought I could use it to check my email when/if I have to travel, or at minimum, use it with a "disposable" Yahoo account so I could at least send mail & updates.
