  1. 1x168A + 1x168A Sniper = 2x168A 36mm head with D26-9V lamp?
  2. 1x168A + 1x168A Sniper = 2x168A 36mm head with Surefire P91 lamp?
  3. 1x168A + 1x168A Explorer = 2x168A 9V 42mm head with D36-9V lamp?
  4. 1x168A + 1x168A Explorer = 2x168A 9V 42mm head with RICO 9V lamp?
  5. 1x168A + 2x168A Rattlesnake = 3x168A 13V 45mm head?
I predict Option 2 will become a hot ticket.

Me? Probably option 5.

Are you sure the extender & the P91 are compatible with the Sniper? If so, I'll go with #2 :sssh:

A Wolf Eyes 4x123A tailcap will fit a Wolf Eyes 2x1223A body, and vice versa, so I'm fairly certain the extender will work in all models.

I've used a P91 in a 3x123A Wolf Eyes Raider (36mm bezel). The Raider's head won't screw all the way down; if you screw on the head too far, you can damage the P91. Some CPFers have shaved off part of the P91's circumference to achieve a perfect fit.

Can you use the regular D26 bezel for P91? I didn't have the D26 bezel for the Raider body, so I used the D26 bezel from the Sniper body, and it didn't fit my Pila 9V LA:rant:

Looking at the pictures on PTS website, the two D26 heads appear to have different height.

OK - what is the "Wolf Eyes 168A extender"? Where can I get it?

Different bezels? I have one of each; I'll have to check out the fit with my P91 when I get home.

Which 9V Pila lamp assembly didn't fit: the old one (made by Wolf Eyes) or the new one?

The extender is supposed to be on Mike's PTS site this week or next.

New one. The bottom where the spring is mounted is flush, unlike WE, which is recessed. The reflector looks completely different to the WE one too.

(New 200 Lum PILA 9V D26 LA, outter SF spring removed)

Hi Paul,

Can you try the above combination for me (Raider body, D26 bezel, SF P91 LA)? I am in the middle of deciding if I should get the regular D26 bezel for the Raider. If this works, the 2x150A will have a longer runtime than 3xCR123A's. Better still, get the extender and 2x168A for even more extended runtime. :naughty:

dchao,
I've used that very combination before; the only question is, "Are there now two different D26 bezels--one shorter than the other--and must one be certain to use the longer one?" I know that there was a redesign in 2006 but I believe it was more cosmetic. I've lost my Raider, so the best I can do is test how well the P91 fits in the old 36mm head and new, mounted on a Sniper--if not tonight, then this weekend. I really think that you have nothing to worry about; it'll work, but because of exposed threads, you'll lose any waterproofing.

I want a 150A extender

This is what I have: the Raider body (2x150A)

I *need* an 150A extender so I can run 13V D36 LA with my mini-turbo head.

Wolf Eyes: Are you listening :naughty:

A 1x150A extender would be a hot ticket. Meanwhile, an Explorer + 1x168A extender + 0.5x123A 13V extender will yield a 4.5x123A Raider-type body.
