Cree XR-E reflector for Fenix L2P?

Hi there!

The XR-E's from my sale will arrive soon, and I want to modify my L2P with the Cree LED. Now is there any reflector that is compatible with the L2P and will give a nice beam with a Cree XR-E?

IMS17. But you'll have to mod it for compatibility.

why not just buy the 8 degree cree optic available from cutter and just remove the reflector?

I think it does not fit into the L2P head.

ur right, with the holder it definitely wont fit, but if u just use the optic and sand off the lip a little it would

anyway, whatever option u choose, good luck!

ims 17 you gotta open the hole so it fits down over the cree, then sand the back some to get proper focus.

Thanks! Doesn't seem a difficult modification. However, the hotspot is quite small and the transistion between hotspot and sidespill is clearly visible, which I do not prefer.

The stock L2P beam is much like that anyways though....

I think that dark ring you're seeing can be dealt with by adjusting the height of the reflector (and this is just an educated guess based on some tests with reflectors I've just done. Sorry, no pic, and no definite results yet.)
