I just upgraded to Internet Explorer 7 after being pestered to upgrade by Microsoft. It didn't take long to learn to really hate the Command Bar. It's can't do as much as the old Menu bar, which is still available, and what it does do is harder to use. I really needed to get rid of this piece of junk or go back to IE6. Of course, the Microsoft website was no help and my first couple Google searches turned up nothing except a whole lot of other people with the same complaint.
However, I finally found a website with a solution. If you hate the Command Bar too, here's the link:

I tried it and it works like a charm. It does require a pretty simple registry change. I did it manually instead of using the links at the bottom of the page so I can't attest to how well they work.
