Hi,
Is there a link to definitions of terminology that you guys could give me so that I can understand what you are saying? vf, forward voltage, and so on.
Thanks,

Mike take a look at the CPF Wiki it will help explain many of your questions.

If the topic is not found there, just post and ask.
Remember to be specific. If you ask a broad question, ppls tend not to answer because we don't know how.

BTW:

Forward Voltage (Vf) - the voltage drop across a diode (LED) @ a specified amount of current flow
Breakdown Voltage - the maximum reverse voltage a diode can withstand. If this is exceeded the diode will fail, then current will flow in the reverse direction.

Cheers,
Jonathan
